The FAFSA or the Free Application for Federal Student Aid is an application that opens every year on October 1st and closes on March 1st. This application is filled out for the following year that you would be attending your school of choice. The FAFSA uses information about your family and income, and based on that information is able to provide a package of money that you could use to assist with the cost of school. You will need to make an FSA ID before completing your application.
Scholarships are amounts of money ranging from 0 to thousands of dollars that can be used to assist with paying for your education. Scholarship money does not need to be paid back! There are many scholarship websites and scholarships from schools that you can receive and stack together to get the lowest cost for school. Check out that scholarship tab for some examples!
The Tuition Incentive Program or TIP is unique to the state of Michigan. It is a state program that assists certain students with paying for tuition for the first two years of school at certain schools in the state of Michigan. It also assists with money for the third and fourth year of school for students that qualify. Check with your college adviser if you qualify!
